Established in 1983, Industrial Gas Springs Limited (IGS) is the largest UK manufacturer of specialised gas springs (gas struts). The product range includes very small springs with a force of just 10 Newtons and continues through a large variety of sizes and features up to springs which are 3 metres long with a force of 10000 Newtons. Springs are available in steel, stainless steel or aluminium. IGS customers include well-known companies across a broad spectrum of world-wide industries and the company�s engineering capabilities are such that very special applications can be addressed quickly and positively. Besides being approved to ISO 9001:2000, IGS holds approvals from, amongst others, Raytheon Aircraft and BAE Systems. Successful applications include aircraft requirements, as well as many more straight forward cases where assistance with lifting or closing a lid is all that is required.
