Excellent, truly excellent. Food, service, decor, ambience - absolutely everything about this restaurant is just excellent. I don't think they have a Micheline Star yet but just watch this space!
Really very good food and an excellent Menu - some interesting dishes and some really well executed favourites. Wood pigeon wellington is a winner. The restaurant itself has set its stall out as a traditional dining environment, with really nice big dining tables and we thought the staff were expectional. Light and modern, laminate floors and white walls is a safe choice - but a darker, more individual decor would have been braver and would suit the place. A welcome addition to Croydon's list of restaurants. In my opinion one of the best.
I took my mum for sunday lunch at Albert's Table on the advice of a friend and was very impressed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, food was delicious (my mum had the warm duck salad and loved it) and it was very reasonably priced. Will be returning very soon!
What's this? ANOTHER high end Restaurant to open its doors in culturally challenged Croydon?! Well it would appear so. Hot on the toes of the successful Le Cassoulet, Albert's Table manages to deliver uncomplicated modern British fayre with a flair that is noticably absent in the surrounding area. Quality ingredients sourced mainly from local producers, skillful execution, sharp (but warm) service and an excellent price point all deliver a London Restaurant feel and a message that screams 'We're here to stay!' And quite right too.
