Brief description

Piercing By Marie Inc. Sims Tattoos opened their combined brand new studio in February 2009. No expense was spared in creating a efficient, comfortable, and welcoming studio with uncompromising levels of hygiene. Previous to this Marie worked for the infamous Bodyworks piercing centre, of Parker Road and Whitehorse Road, over a period of eight years. Starting as a weekend member of reception staff, Marie, inspired by her love and interest of body piercing, went onto complete an extensive apprenticeship, and eventually to gain the prestigious appointment of principal piercer whilst managing the leading body piercing studio and its staff. Sims Tattoos and Bodyworks joined forces to create their hugely successful partnership and Whitehorse Road studio in December 2001. Having been taught the art of skilled piercing by the renowned Gary Scott, Marie is one of few piercers adept at the freehand piercing technique, which is practised whenever viable at the new studio. Marie has been fully licensed and endorsed by Croydon Council throughout her body piercing career. Marie is one of Croydon's longest serving licensed body piercers.

  • 5 Fantastic Studio and Piercer!

    I have just arrived home from getting a piercing done at this studio, by Marie, and feel compelled to find as many review sites as possible to rave about how super this studio is! I cannot fault my experience one little bit. Marie is a very friendly and cool lady. Not once did I feel rushed or unable to ask any questions. Marie made a point of sharing her knowledge, talking me through everything she was doing and this is turn is very reassuring (especially considering I was being slightly wimpish!). I was given lots of aftercare advice, a written form to take home and contact details for any worries I may have. Marie's skill as a piercer (she has been piercing for 6years she told me...not that you would know to look at her, she looks a lot younger than 28!) is evident as I hardly felt a thing!!!! The studio also hostd two tattooists who provided great entertainment while I waited for Marie to finish off with a prior client, with their hilarious banter! Overall I cannot recommend this studio more highly. I only hope what I have written translates and does my experience justice. I was recommended by a friend who was pierced by Marie when she worked at Bodyworks, and I will now be telling everyone I know that this is the place to go!!!!
